Jamaica Tries Possession of Cash from Convicted Drug Lord

Donald “Zeek” Phipps

Jamaican authorities are not relenting in their effort to seize Jamaican $18 million (US $100,000) that was confisticated in the house of a convicted drug lord Donald “Zeek” Phipps in Havaendale, St Andrew.

The financial Investigation Division of the Ministry of finance has taken the case to the supreme court.

Zeeks is serving a life sentence for double murder. He recently lost an appeal of his life sentence.

I think this is a good move. If the money when recovered is channelled into the country’s treasury.
What do you think?
