Serena Williams demolishes Maria Sharapova to win Gold

Serena Williams won Gold medal in women’s singles at the London Olympics yesterday by crushing Maria Sharapova of Russia.

Sharapova never had a chance from the beginning of the match. Williams overwhelmed Sharapova with her powerful serve and accurate shot placement, subjecting her to 6-0, 6-1 defeat.
Serena won her fifth Wimbledon title a month ago. She has 14 Grand Slam singles championship more than any woman.

Serena Williams partnering with her sister Venus won the Women's double gold medal with her sister Venus. This was the third Women's double for the sisters.
