Nigerian Federal Government to release the names of Boko Haram Sponsors

General Andrew Azazi
The Nigeria top security chiefs are to release the lists of Boko Haram and other terrorist groups sponsors.

The agreement was reached at a meeting held by the security chiefs in order to end the spate of violence that has engulf the country in recent times.

The decision to release the list was informed out of the belief by the chiefs that making public the names of these individuals would help accelerate the end of the bombings.

According to intelligence report available to the chiefs, some top politicians are funding terror groups in order to destabilise the present administration.

The security chiefs and the National Security Adviser, General Andrew Azazi blamed and described them as “greedy and selfish politicians who don’t want Nigerians from outside their region to rule the country”. (throwing stones).

I’m baffled. if they know these people, why have they not arrested them for prosecution?

What is the use of releasing the list to the public?.

Do they have legal advisers at all? Haven’t they heard that the accused remains innocent until his guilt is proven beyond all reasonable doubt?.

Making their names public means you assume they are guilty. Their guilt has to be proven by the court of law and not in the court of the security chiefs.

Having said that. These men must be arrested for prosecution immediately.

That these men are still moving around free shows that the federal government lacks the courage to fight corruption and crime.

For Nigeria to move forward, the government at all levels should have courage to face challenges like this.

No one should be above the law irrespective of tribe, religion and economic status.

If they have the names as they claimed let them be bold enough to arrest and prosecute these individuals. It’s only then can the fight against terrorism and corruption will begin to make sense to Nigerians.
