Femi Kuti: Turns 50 Today

Pertai Femi Kuti is the son of the iconic Afro-beat musician, Fela Kuti is 50 today. He is the only Nigerian home based musician to be nominated three-times nominated at the Grammy.

In an interview with the Vanguard Femi said that being 50 is no big deal to him. It is just another day that will pass by.

Nothing, but I believe I’m wiser and more experienced in age and life but I’m indifferent towards it. Partaining to celebration, some people are making it look like a glorious day because they appreciate my works but to me its just another day that will pass.” Said Femi Kuti.
