Victims’ Families Compensated for Nigerian Airline Crash

Dana Air, a Nigerian based airline that crashed last month in which 153 passengers lost their lives has sarted reimbursing the families of victims who died in the crash.

The airline announced that each family of the flights 153 paasers will be given $100,000 as compesation.

The airline spokesman, Tony Usidamen said that already $30,000 had been made to the families and that another  $70,000 will be paid later, while 67 others claims are being processed.

The crash also claimed the lives an unspecified number of people on the ground when the plane crashed into a building in a densely populated area of Lagos on June 3. 

Nigerian authorities kept the airline out service since the crash. The cause of the crash is yet to be determined.     

The spokesman pointed out that the airline is “not thinking about flying now; we are more concerned about the accident victims’ families.”
