Award-winning
novelist, Chimamanda Adichie, will embark on a national book tour
shortly after the Nigerian edition of her latest work, the highly
anticipated novel titled Americanah is released on April 21,
2013 in Lagos.
The
tour will take Adichie to major cities across Nigeria. The new novel
is the fourth published book by the author and her third novel after
the Orange Prize winning 'Half of a Yellow Sun' and 'Purple
Hibiscus', which also won the Commonwealth Writers Prize in 2003.
Americanah
has been described as a fearless and towering novel set in three
different countries and continents: Nigeria, England and America.
Just like Adichie's other works, it boldly addresses issues that are
serious and mundane, such as love, race, home, hair, Obama,
immigration, and self-invention.
