Ojukwu’s Will out next month

The will of the former Biafran leader,  late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu will be read next month.

A source close to the family said that the one year mourning period which according to Igbo burial rites should count from the day of the burial in March will now count from the day of Ojukwu’s death which was November last year.
This arrangement is to enable Ikemba’s widow and and the Nigerian envoy to Spain, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu to carry out her duties as an ambassador in a foreign country without wearing black mourning outfits (Akwa uju).
  “Some family members felt that one year mourning period should be appropriate in view of Ikemba’s status. The family has therefore decided that the removal of akwa ujuby the widow should be brought forward from one year of the burial date to one year after death which is November this year. Plans have already begun for the one year anniversary of the death which is November”

The source also revealed that Ojukwu’s will would be read by next month to know who gets what. Adding that the family members are anxious to know the content of
